WHY THE UNIVERSAL FLOW TRACKER?

EFFICIENT SPRAY JOBS

No longer require operators to complete multiple laps of a single spray route to apply chemical and then map weeds. With one single device to capture both chemical spraying and weed mapping, increase the efficiency and output of operators.

WEED MAPPING & CHEMICAL VOLUME

With one simple device which attaches to the spray gun, the Universal Flow Tracker maps both weeds and tracks spray volume.

NO MORE ESTIMATES / GUESS WORK

Remove the need for operators to estimate how much chemical volume has been sprayed or try to remember where and which weeds they sprayed. Remove the guesswork and present accurate data for reporting.

MEETS ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

With increased scrutiny on spray activities and their effects on the national environment, have proof of placement to protect your business and operators.

DESIGNED FOR LAND MANGEMENT

Designed for and tested by in-field professional for over 12months before launch, the UFT and portal system has been designed to recording and reporting of weed mapping and chemical tracking in compliance with the relevant environmental regulations.

EASY INSTALL AND OPERATE

The UFT can be quickly and easily attached to any spray wand (from high pressure engine driven sprayers to low pressure backpack sprayers) with simple, intuitive buttons to turn device on, change calibration settings, rinse mode and choose weeds for mapping.

FAQs

  • What is the warranty of the UFT?

The UFT comes with 12months warranty which covers any internal failure, malfunction or weather ingress.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by freezing liquid expansion so it's important you winterise your device or remove it from your sprayer during winter.

Whilst the device has been designed with toughness in mind, the warranty does not cover damage caused by physical impact or abrasion (such as being dragged along road).

  • Does the UFT record accurate volume for both low pressure/volume sprayers and high pressure/volume sprayers?

The UFT will record accurate volumes for both low and high pressure/volume sprayers, but if you change between the two then there is a simple calibration process to follow to ensure accuracy is maintained.

This only takes a minute or two and does not require any tools (see instructions page).

  • Does the hardware device work in remote areas with no cell phone coverage?

The device has been designed to work in remote areas.

It only needs to acquire a GPS lock and then it will begin logging the data and saving it internally on the device.

The device will only look for LTE/4G connection once it is back on charge at the end of the job/day.

Usually by the time the vehicle has driven back to your depot/base the device will have found a connection and uploaded the logs for that job/day to our cloud infrastructure so you can then access the data through the web portal.

  • What type of sprayers can the UFT be fitted to?

The UFT comes with a pack of adaptor fittings that allow it to be fitted to any spray gun or fitted in line on your spray hose.

It can be fitted to backpack and compression sprayers, 12v sprayers, high volume engine driven sprayers up to 40bar pressure, roadside spray vehicles, and boom sprayers.

There is a simple calibration process to follow in the instruction manual should you need to change it from a high volume/pressure engine drive sprayer to a low volume/pressure sprayer like a backpack or 12v.

This only takes a minute or two and does not require any tools (see instructions page).

  • Do I need to flush out the UFT after use?

Ensure the UFT is turned off to avoid unwanted data collection and flush the UFT out with water.

  • How does the UFT device stand up to weather conditions when left out on the sprayer?

The UFT device has been designed to withstand the rain, sun, humidity, and dust.

It has been tested and proven in real life applications for 12 Months prior to launch.

WARNING: If you are in areas that are prone to frost and freezing temperatures then you will need to ensure the device is not left out in these temperatures with liquid in it as ice expands with great force and could crack the body of the device. You should take device off and store indoors.

  • What happens if improvements/changes are made to the UFT hardware devices in the future?

Rapid Logix are able to update the firmware on your devices remotely thorough the over-air-update capability.

This means that any updates or improvements we implement will be pushed out to your devices automatically.

  • Can I spray diesel with the UFT?

Yes, it is safe to spray diesel through the UFT device.

  • Can I rent the Universal Flow Tracker

Yes, we offer a range of rental or purchase plans and subscriptions. With both Capital Expenditures and Operating Expenses pricing structures to fit a variety of budget requirements.

  • Can this be used privately, or is it only for companies?

Absolutely! Weeds cost the private sector up to $5.3million showing the extent of the infestations across Australia.

It is just as important for private landholders to track chemical spraying and map weeds to meet EPA requirements as it is public or private companies.

  • What is the battery in the UFT and how long does it last?

The UFT has an internal, rechargeable LI-Ion battery. In most applications, the device should last a few days spraying however we do recommend charging your UFT every night.

  • Is the magnetic charger hard wired or USB?

The UFT will come with a charger cable kit that allows you to connect it directly to the battery on your vehicle. If wiring to an accessories socket on your vehicle, then ensure it's a circuit that remians powered on when the vheicle ignition is turned off - this will ensure the device keeps charing overnight.

USB options are also available upon request for applications where backpack sprayers may be removed from the vehicle and charged from a wall socket at your depot / workshop.

  • Are the any 4G/LTE / GPS limitations?

The UFT will not get a GPS lock when indoors.

The 4G/LTE will only search for a connection when the charger is connected - this is to preserve battery power when working in areas with little to no coverage.

  • Are there any limitations on which chemicals can be used?

The UFT has been designed to handle all herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and hydrocarbon carriers.

Be wary of using any corrosive chemicals which have not be approved for use. Any concerns, call us on 1300 901 504

Any other chemicals or liquids that have not been tested and/or approved for use may result in damage which will not be covered under warranty.
